If I knew then what I know now, I'd steer clear of this agency.

At this agency, your policy is not YOUR policy. They apparently deem it to be THEIR property and make it extremely difficult for you to do anything except babysit them while they don't follow through on their guarantees.

I had a policy with this agency, and requested to have it transferred to another agent, one who was a better fit for the expectations I hold for service. My current State Farm agent attempted to get the policy transferred, but this agency told them they would not release MY policy until I carved out time from my extremely packed schedule, called them, and requested the transfer. I'm quite familiar with State Farm, and this was the first I had heard of that.

Upon my agent relaying that information to me, I called Scott Stewart State Farm and requested the policy transfer. I was told the transfer would not be completed for 1.5 weeks, due to the agent being gone and he's the only one able to execute this. However, the representative guaranteed me the transfer would be completed by the following Wednesday. On the following Friday, I received an email from my current agent, stating they had not received the policy; which was supposed to be transferred that previous Wednesday. When Monday arrived, this is now 2 weeks after the initial request and 5 days after the guarantee of transfer by Scott Stewart's office, I called Scott's office and spoke with another representative.

On this call, I was told the transfer was not completed. I began to ask more questions, because clearly there is a drastic lack of ownership and accountability at this office. The representative answered my questions in generalities, however, generalities don't provide any information that sets expectations at achievable levels.

For example, I asked the rep. when my policy would be transferred, and her response was, "Later."

Most of her replies presented a lackluster derivative of "care-LESS-ness." She began to get quite angry with me, as the more any sense of lack of accountability was presented, the more pointed questions were repeated until she provided answers that presented responsibility.

Finally, I was told I would receive a confirmation call, by the end of the business day, regarding when to expect this overdue task to fully completed. The rep attempted to provide me with "later" as a response multiple times, but then finally agreed to call me by the end of the business day. Guess what happened.. Exactly that: ".." Just dots of waiting for this office to show some ownership and do their job. In other words, NOTHING HAPPENED- pretty much par for the course. No call, no follow-up call, and my SF Agent did not receive the policy, as was promised by Scott Stewart's office.

If you're looking for a lack-luster performance re: anything insurance related to your policy, I would encourage looking somewhere else. Much cheaper insurance policies are available through non-standard companies, and this bottom-box service is both expected and received. However, you're just not paying the exorbitant price for having a middle man."
